Gaza Doctor's Courageous Peace Quest; Center Vigorously Supports Nobel Prize Bid

Palestinian physician Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish a renowned doctor and peace proponent lost three daughters and a niece when his home was mistakenly hit by a tank shell during the Gaza War in January 2009. Center Director Brian Levin, met with him recently in Los Angeles and is spearheading the Center's international efforts to support his nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Center Director Brian Levin said, "I was moved to tears not only by his tremendous loss, but by his unyielding resolve for peace in the wake of it. His stedfast and virtuous commitment to the divinity of human life, regardless of difference, is not only a special gift, but an urgent directive the world must heed."
